JourneyWorthy

Terms of Use

Last updated: July 15, 2026

These terms govern your use of the JourneyWorthy mobile application and this website (together, "the service"), published by JourneyWorthy ("we"). By using the service you agree to these terms.

1. What JourneyWorthy is — and isn't

JourneyWorthy is an independent study aid for preparing for the Washington journey-level plumber examination. It is not legal advice, code-compliance advice, or a substitute for the adopted code texts, and it is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by IAPMO, Washington State L&I, or PSI. Exam requirements, editions, fees, and eligibility change — always confirm current details with L&I and PSI, and consult the adopted code and the authority having jurisdiction for real-world work.

2. No guarantee of results

Studying is your responsibility. We work hard to keep the content accurate and code-cited, but we do not guarantee you will pass any examination, and we make no promises about exam outcomes.

3. Purchases

Full access is sold as a one-time, non-renewing term (currently 4 months) through Apple's App Store or Google Play. Payment, billing, and refunds are handled by Apple or Google under their terms — we never receive your payment details. Access terms do not auto-renew; continuing after a term ends requires a new purchase.

4. License

We grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use the app for your own exam preparation. You may not copy, scrape, extract, resell, or redistribute the app's content or question bank, or use it to build a competing product.

5. Intellectual property

The app, its original question bank, explanations, and design are our intellectual property. "Uniform Plumbing Code" and "UPC" are trademarks of IAPMO; other code, agency, and exam names are used for identification only.

6. Acceptable use

Don't attempt to circumvent purchase controls, reverse-engineer the app beyond what applicable law permits, or use the service unlawfully.

7. Disclaimers and limitation of liability

The service is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose. To the maximum extent permitted by law, our total liability for any claim relating to the service is limited to the amount you paid for it in the twelve months before the claim arose. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited under applicable law.

8. Changes

We may update the service and these terms; material changes will be posted here with a new "last updated" date. Continuing to use the service after changes take effect constitutes acceptance.

9. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Washington, USA.
